Robert Stein - Annual Foot Crush Feast 2021

The Foot Crush Feast is a celebration of the new vintage, winemaking, both modern and old-time methods, grape growing, farming and of regional produce. For those of you who have not previously attended the Foot Crush Feast here is a little bit of information on the event, what to expect, dress code and transport arrangements.

• Date: Saturday, March 6th 2021
• Time: 5 pm.

Foot crushing:

After arrival drinks, Jacob will take you on a short tour giving you an overview of the vineyard, farm and restaurant garden before heading back to the foot crushing area. The foot crushing, as it sounds, will involve hopping into half barrels and crushing grapes with your bare feet in the classic time-honoured tradition. Following the foot crushing we move into the Pipeclay Pumphouse Restaurant for the rest of the evenings' events.

Dress Code:

The dress code for the night is smart casual and we suggest wearing something that is easy to lift, roll, or is above knee height as this will make it easier to get in and out of the half barrels to crush the grapes. As you will also be taken on a short walk around the vineyard and garden, where the ground can be a little uneven, comfortable footwear can be an advantage.

Transport:

We also offer a pre-booked transfer service to and from the event at a charge of $10 per person which is payable on the night. Pickup and drop off is from the one location, which is the bus stop next to the Coles Car Park on Mortimer St in the middle of Mudgee.

Dietary Requirements:

Just a reminder that if you have not already done so, please let us know if you, or any member of your group, have a dietary requirement that the chef should be made aware of, by simply emailing orders@robertstein.com.au.
